With the pandemic having put holidays abroad on hold for us all over the last year or so, and with lockdown easing having been pushed back by another few weeks, it seems that 2021 will be the year of the staycation for many would-be holidaymakers right now.
And, interestingly, this has seen a serious surge in the number of people keen to buy their own caravans so they can pop off at a moment’s notice for a fun trip away. New research from trader Robinsons Caravans, reported on by Yahoo!, has just revealed that it has seen a 20 per cent increase in sales, with a ten per cent rise in customers under the age of 40.
This new trend suggests that if you are planning a camping or caravanning holiday this year, you might be wise to start booking somewhere now, or you could find that holiday parks and camping sites have no room.
If you can’t quite make up your mind about where you want to go, what about heading south to Cornwall for some well-earned sunshine?
There are some incredible beaches to be found in this part of the country, so it could well feel as though you’ve hopped on a plane and flown off to some far-flung land. St Ives, Padstow, Falmouth and Newquay are all wonderful spots for happy campers.
Or what about exploring the Lake District, where you’ll find 16 lakes, Scafell Pike (the tallest mountain in England), all sorts of beautiful walking routes and quaint little townships like Bowness-on-Windermere and Keswick… another great place for camping and caravanning enthusiasts!
We’d love to hear where you plan to go on staycation this year, so get in touch to let us know. And if you need the help of caravan towing services at any point, we’ve got your bases covered in this regard, as well.
